Rootboy Productions Brings Americana Roots Music to the Falls

That thing we do... We came up with the idea for Rootboy as a way to bring some of our favorite music to Great Falls and cut down on the number of "road trips" we'd been enduring for so many years. Well, OK, "endure" is a harsh word considering how much fun we’ve had on many of these musical adventures, but still, it was time for some of these artists to finally make their way to the Electric City. Our plan has been to focus upon nationally and internationally touring artists who fit into that hard to categorize genre called "roots" music: blues, Americana, folk, rock, traditional bluegrass and country (of the alternative sort).

Starting our fourth year... We're starting to get this thing fine-tuned. We've had some fantastic shows in the past three years, hosting more than three dozen great acts, many of them making their first appearance in Montana. And, for most of them, it was their first show in Great Falls—ever.
